Bacchi’s is still “in the family” with Bill Hunter, Jr. (grandson of founders George & Josephine Bacchi) running the restaurant with his son, Everett, who Bill hopes to pass on the family business to when he retires.

The Old Tahoe charm is still alive today. Old photographs of the [original] structure adorn the restaurant’s lounge, along with other interesting memorabilia, including pictures of the Italian Olympic ski team eating at Bacchi’s when they came to compete in the 1960 Olympics. Large, red leather easy chairs beckon from the lounge and more images of family, places, and important events, rest casually on the fireplace mantle. (North Tahoe/Truckee Weekly)
